RETURN CONDITIONS AND POLICITIES!

This is a family business and what we want is for you to being part of our family, but even in the best families there are drawbacks.

We have developed this document with your peace of mind in mind. In it your Satisfaction most to be Guarantee and the simple process to be to ensure your wedding photography or Contrated Service experience is completely risk-free.

To qualify for a Full Refund, the cancellation must be requested within 14 days of the date the service was purchased (Downpayment Done) or contracted. All requests must be submitted in writing and clearly detail the reason for cancellation to be considered.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise or service that does not meet with this return conditions in our sole discretion.




CONDITIONS FOR RETURNS

At Juan Melo Photography, your peace of mind is our priority. This document details our Refund Policy and the process for activating the Service Satisfaction Guarantee. Please review the conditions below to understand the necessary terms and steps to ensure your investment in Destination Wedding Photography or Contracted Service is completely risk-free.

CLIMATE: While we cannot control weather conditions, we are committed to mitigating their impact on your event. Should adverse weather prevent the contracted service from taking place, a Credit Note will be issued for the full value of the goods and services purchased. This Credit Note will remain valid for one calendar year from the original event date, allowing you to reschedule the service or delivery without extra charge. However, should you choose to redeem this Credit Note in a different location, unforeseen travel fees may apply. These charges will be specified and formally notified prior to the rescheduling or provision of the service.

In the event of subcontracting third parties for the provision of goods or services, any request for a return or refund remains subject to the conditions and policies of that specific provider. The monetary refund amount to the Client will be delivered only in the same measure and proportionate amount as returned to us by the third party. However, a full Credit Note will always be issued as our standard policy, ensuring you never lose your investment in our services.

Should the event require cancellation due to weather conditions after our team has traveled and/or installed the equipment at the contracted location, a 50% charge of the total contract value will be applied to cover incurred operational and logistical costs. The remaining 50% of the payment will be transferred to a Credit Note, which may be used to reschedule a future service within one calendar year.

The Client assumes the total cost of any perishable items included in the contracted service, such as flowers, food, beverages, or any other element with an expiration date or single-use nature. As these materials are non-recoverable and cannot be reused for a rescheduled date, their value is not transferable to the Credit Note and the charge will remain at 100% of the acquisition price.

Should the event be canceled due to weather and the Original Client is unable to utilize the Credit Note themselves, they may request to share or transfer the Credit Note to a family member or friend. This request must be submitted in writing a minimum of three regular calendar months (90 days) before the original contracted event date. A formal written authorization from us is mandatory to redeem the Credit Note, specifying the new event date and the name of the beneficiary. The transferred service must be executed before the Credit Note expires, which is one calendar year from the original contracted event date.


All other terms and rights applying to the Original Contracted Service remain fully in effect.

This Refund Policy is designed for transparency and to fully support the terms of our Service Agreement.

Please Note: If the Contracted Service includes elements such as decorations, specialized catering (food/beverages), videography, music/entertainment, transportation, prints, lodging, Entrances fees, or any other items requiring advanced preparation or external suppliers, and the procurement or preparation of these elements is completed, they are non-refundable. Payment for such completed preparatory services or acquired materials is due in full and is excluded from any potential refund or Credit Note, as these costs are non-recoverable.

Exclusion: The supply of Goods or Services that are custom-made to your specific requirements or are clearly personalized (e.g., custom album designs, edited final images, personalized prints, makeup, hair, etc.) are excluded from this refund policy.

Exclusion: The supply of Goods or Services which, after delivery (including digital file sharing), are, by their nature, irretrievably mixed with or consumed by other items. This includes, but is not limited to, digital files that have been downloaded or physical goods (e.g., food, beverages, single-use decorative items) that have been consumed or used.


SHIPPING: The Client is responsible for all Shipping Costs. In the event of a return, the original shipping fees are never included in any Credit Note or refund. This cost exclusion applies unless a specific shipping fee was explicitly itemized and covered under the Original Contracted Service.

The Client is responsible for the cost and risk of returning any Product or Service-related Goods to Us.

FULL REFUND: To be eligible for a Full Refund, the cancellation request must be submitted within 14 days of the confirmation payment date (Downpayment Done)."


Full Refund Exceptions: A Full Refund may be issued under the following extreme and verifiable circumstances:
The death of a very close family member (direct parent, sibling, or child of the Client or partner).
A severe, debilitating illness that directly causes the cancellation of the event.
Evidence must be formally submitted for consideration and approval (e.g., death certificate, medical documentation).

Partial Refund: Our business model operates on date exclusivity. Once your service is confirmed and reserved, we block this date for all other inquiries. By securing your event, we guarantee that our primary focus and service will be dedicated exclusively to you during the contracted day(s). For this reason, we refuse any other reservation unless we can still provide your contracted service. Should you wish to cancel or change your event, you must submit a written request detailing all reasons for us to formally consider and approve any partial or full refund, with a minimum notice period of two calendar months (60 days)

Interpretation: The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they are used in the singular or in the plural.



This document supplements the service agreement supplied to the Client. Under no circumstances does this document cancel, supersede, or modify any existing rule, standard, or policy that has been previously shared with the Client.
